Programme EDUsummIT 2011
EDUsummIT 2011 was designed as a working conference to pursue the following objectives
- Report on the impact/evidence of the UNESCO programmes and initiatives in ICT in education and the International Handbook of Information Technology in Primary and Secondary Education. These served as the basis for EDUsummIT 2009.
- Refine the national, international and regional models for the use of ICT in 21st century education.
- Develop strategies to help build a global community of policy-makers, teachers and researchers in the field of ICT in Education.
The summit was organized in interactive plenary and breakout sessions. Recommendations of the working groups to help move educational systems into the digital age, and leading papers from the 2011 meeting will be assembled in a UNESCO summit report and a special issue of the International Journal for Computer Assisted Learning for rapid publication.
